We have been advised by Royal Mail and our parcel delivery partners ParcelForce and DHL that there will be some delays and restrictions throughout the games period.
These can be expected in and around Olympic venues and affecting several London Postcodes.
On the basis of this we are advising that deliveries may be delayed and that  timed deliveries will not be guaranteed by Royal Mail.

Parcelforce

The countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games is truly underway. Depots around the country have been working hard to ensure you receive normal collection and delivery services within certain parts of London.

From 23rd July to 9th September, London’s roads will be even busier than normal with traffic restrictions in place. Parcelforce are bringing in extra staff and vehicles and have robust plans to keep your parcels moving. Parcelforce intend to:

  • Maintain delivery guarantees on express24 and express48 services with exception of official Olympic venues, where special arrangements apply
  • Prioritise express9, express10 and expressAM services (although timed delivery guarantees will be suspended in some specific London postcodes)
  • Maintain schedule collections and next day ad hoc collection bookings

We will introduce a small charge of 1.50 per consignment for customers sending to London postcodes affected by the Games.
